Dearly, Departed was the first record I wrote and produced with Ashwin with the intention of it being on the album. Even though I have songs on there that are older, this song means the most to me. It's a letter from my future self to my past self; Acknowledging all the things, people and places that made me who I am and all those same things that I have been challenged to shed along the way.
